About

The Summit City Barbershop Chorus is the original Fort Wayne Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. It was first chartered in 1944 and has been active in the Society ever since. The Chorus performs at events such as the Three Rivers Festival and several of the professional athletic events in the city. We also participate in the Cardinal District (Indiana and Kentucky) Barbershop Harmony Convention events and contests. The Chorus also supports many non-profit groups by providing entertainment to help them generate support for their individual groups. Our members come from all professions and all walks of life. It also includes men of all ages, from young boys to men in their 80’s. Each has his own life’s history but come together each week to enjoy and promote singing in the Fort Wayne and Tri-state area. We sing together to enjoy the sounds of four part A Cappella barbershop harmony.

Do you like to sing. Have you sung before, maybe in High School or College and would like to get back into the swing and enjoyment of singing? Come and join us in Song. We meet every Monday eve. at 7:00 PM at the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Wayne St., Fort Wayne, In. Come sing with us and bring a friend.
